Before any analysis, it is necessary to understand the concept of Home Automation, also called Automation, or Home Automation.

“Domotics are systems capable of automating a home or building of any kind, providing energy management, security, well-being and communication services, and which can be integrated through internal and external communication networks, wired or wireless, and whose control enjoys a certain ubiquity, from inside and outside the home. It could be defined as the integration of technology in the intelligent design of a closed space ”.

But although this apparently clear meaning of home automation, could bring us closer to understanding the concept, the reality is that we all have a different interpretation, that is, we know in general terms, that it is about making your home, office or any other space, an “intelligent” space and this interpretation is the most colloquial way of defining for some what home automation or automating a space would mean.

The word “Smart” adapted to a space, from my point of view, is a concept of today, which refers to us that, over time, the installed system learns habits that adapt to the behaviors and preferences of the user, and even being intelligent, it requires a development, programming and calibration by specialists. With all this, simply the most important part of using home automation is understanding the customer’s need, and the most difficult thing is getting closer to what they really need or dream of, which could make the difference between enjoying and hating home automation or automation. of their spaces.

“Design always thinking about the precise need of your client, never for you”

Marco Gongora

In my professional career, I have interacted with different types of clients both in terms of tastes and economic possibilities. Today, without a doubt, approaching them is the most important process to achieve the ideal solution. Each client has very unique needs and tastes, surely many very similar ones, but here the challenge is to get as close as possible to their way of life, understand their customs and hobbies to offer them something that they enjoy to the fullest.

Today perhaps in terms of home automation or automation and due to the diversification of equipment and technologies, we are already living a fourth generation of users, much more aware and clear of what they need and use.

How do I learn to control my automated space?

There is another niche of customers, which due to ignorance, are prey to suppliers that offer systems that would comply with turning the space into a centralized system that, far from being customer-friendly, generates fear of manipulating it and fear of failure and with the great annoyance of having paid a fortune, for something that works fairly or knows how to operate. In both cases, fault of the supplier.

Regarding the updating of knowledge, we must bear in mind that the training and updating of the systems is of vital importance to design the systems that are simple to operate, and to offer the means of support and maintenance when the user needs it.

ALL systems involving electronics are not without fault, and as I tell my students in college, here the best supplier is not only the one with the best product, but the one who is always there to help you solve problems.

In the year 2020 it has been shown that working from home is not impossible for most and we are faced with new challenges;

How do I make my time more efficient?

How do I manage my work tasks?
